Galisteo Basin - Lamy, NM
Just south of town is Galisteo Basin, an awesome set of trails that offer challenge to riders. It's definitely singlespeedable. I did it with a fully rigid bike and only had one or two scary moments on some of the steep switchbacks. There is plenty of loose rock and sand, but that won't slow you down too much. Great signage everywhere makes it easy to navigate. Over time I think you could probably loop together some great routes, I was just winging it.

La Tierra Trails - Santa Fe
La Tierra is a set of trails on the near north side of Santa Fe, easily accessible from downtown by car or bike. This is an incredibly well-marked set of trails with lots of great features. There is even a jump area with plenty of technical features.
The "Hustle and Flow" flow trail was definitely the best part of the whole trail system, tons of fun.

Review - Blackburn Big Switch Multi-tool
I'm a big fan of interesting multi-tools. There is a huge selection of them, most gravitating around the idea of multiple hex keys in a fold-out chassis. But, as I learned with my Crank Brothers tool, some of the linkage bolts on my full suspension bike were not accessible due to the short ken key length and the size of the tool's width. So I ordered a Blackburn Big Switch that takes a unique approach to the multi-tool market with a T-shaped tool that gives some significant extra leverage.

Review - Maxxis Forekaster Tire
I've been pretty consistent on tires. After shifting to 29" bikes I have ridden Maxxis Ardent (2.4") almost exclusively; I've been very happy with the performance and expectations, especially in corners and sketchy chunk. The other exception is On-One Chunky Monkey (2.4") that I typically have on my singlespeed. I had been running Pirelli Scorpion M tires for a while on my full suspension Orbea Occam and they were fine, but they lacked some of the cornering and grip of the Ardents. I decided to try some Forkasters on my Occam and I find them to be better than the Scorpions but not as good as an Ardent.
